How to get to the main venue

(Tuesday-Friday)
Besides taking a taxi (ask to be taken to the Faculty of Human Sciences. Troja, the exact address is Pátkova 2137/5, 182 00 Praha 8) you can easily reach the faculty by public transport. Basic instructions based on which hotel you live in are also in the Accomodation section. Description below concerns mainly the very last step of your journey.
1) Hotel Troja. If you are staying in Hotel Troja simply take the tram n. 17 downhill to station Trojská (second on your route). The streetview of the station is below

Cross the street to the other side and follow the direction of your tram for about 50 metres . From there it is a short and direct walk on a road through a slightly weird open field. The path of your walk is here
The building is not visible from the road so it might feel like you are going nowhere in the middle of nowhere but trust us it is there. Also at the very end, the path leads through a small tree grove which our staff and students call "the jungle". This may test your resolve but enter the jungle the building is behind it.

All in all it is a 5 minute walk from the station to the faculty
2) Hotel Duo. If you are staying in Hotel Duo, you can take subway C which is in front of your hotel to station Kobylisy (about 5 minute ride). Exit the station through moving stairs in the direction oposite to the direction of your train. Once you leave the stairs you will see the tram stop of tram n. 17 directly on your right - take the tram n. 17 from the stop that is closer to the exit from the subway station. It really is just a couple of meters from the exit. The station looks like this and the view of the streetview is facing the direction in which you will be leaving the station.
The tram goes past hotel Troja and down to station Trojská which is the fourt station on your journey. For the rest, follow the instruction given in section 1) above.
You can also take subway C to subway station Nádraží Holešovice. If this is the case follow instruction described in section 3) below. However, exit directions from the subway platform described in section 3) are opposite for you since your train is arriving to the platform from the opposite direction to the train of Hotel Pulse8 guests.
3) Hotel Pulse8. If you are staying in hotel Pulse8, you need to get to subway station Nádraží Holešovice of the red line C. Here you have two options.
Leave the station in the direction of your subway train, this direction leads to railway station Nádraží Holešovice. After exiting the stairs from the subway (there are no moving stairs just regular stairs), turn left and walk straight on for about 100 meters - you will see a stop of tram n. 17 directly in front of you.
The station looks like this and the streetview is facing the direction that you need to take (the tram passes below the train lines onto a bridge over Vltava river).
From there it is one stop over Vltava river to station Trojská. The rest is the same as decribed in section 1) except that you are arriving to the station from the opposite direction so start your walk by walking back in the direction to the bridge you have just crossed on the tram.
If you do not want to take a five minute walk, leave the subway station Nádraží Holešovice in the direction opposite to the direction of your subway train. Once you exit the moving stairs turn left and you will see bus stations directly in front of you. You need to take bus n. 187. The bus has a very short circular route and this is its first station so you cannot go in a wrong direction when taking it. The second station on the route is the station Pelc-Tyrolka which is located directly in front of the Faculty.

Below is a streetview of Pelc-Tyrolka station. You need to take the slight uphill path on the left of the tunnel on the streetview. Faculty is hidden right behind the ugly tall building (which serves as students dormitory) on the picture
It is only a 3 minute ride. The problem is that this bus usually leaves only every 30 minutes. as you can see here on its schedule - https://jrportal.dpp.cz/DataFTP/JRPortalData/187/20260627/187_linka.pdf
so the relevant bbus departure time for you in the morning would be 9:29, the next bus leaves at 9:59. We start at 10:00.
Instead of bus 187 you can also take bus n. 201 which will take you to bus station Kuchyňka which is a second stop of your three minute ride. This bus comes more often, approximately every 15 minutes. From Kuchyňka station walk in the opposite direction to the direction of the bus, After a while there will be a path below the highway, walk below the highway and walk straight on until you reach the faculty. It is about a nine minute walk. See the path via the link below
