Prague Botanical Garden and St. Claire's Vineyard
This year's schedule is so packed that we didn't have a free afternoon to organize a longer excursion. Fortunately, located near the conference venue is the extensive Prague Botanical Garden, featuring the large Fata Morgana greenhouse, a magnificent view of Prague, and a very old vineyard with its own wine bar. The wine bar manager has been very accommodating and she will let us stay in the wine bar after garden´s closing time on Tuesday, June 30, until 9:00 PM (the botanical garden closes to the Prague public at 7:00 PM). We can reach the garden via Prague public transportation or, for those who prefer, walk along the pedestrian path by the Vltava River bank (the walk takes 35 minutes). Given the nature of this arrangement, we need to provide an estimated total number of participants a few days in advance. Since we expect significant interest in the excursion, please let us know via the link below if you do not want to or cannot participate in the excursion on Tuesday, June 30, and we will subtract you from the number of participants. Otherwise, we will report the total number of conference participants (accompanying persons are also welcome, we will adjust our estimate for them based on opening banquets/dinners you bought for them)
Everyone pays for garden admission separately. Tickets for the Garden plus the Greenhouse can be purchased on-site for 180 CZK (about 9 USD). However, the visit would go more smoothly if you purchased a ticket for 150 CZK online on the garden's website in advance; in that case, you will receive a ticket with a QR code via email. Purchases can only be made on the Czech version of the website, but you can have it translated in your browser, and the purchase process is very simple. Don't forget to enter the correct entry date: June 30, 2026. All links are provided below.
